Álvaro Morales

Álvaro is a PhD candidate with experience in the field of AM, including resin-based 3D printing, fused filament fabrication, powder bed fusion, and bioprinting for tissue engineering and industrial applications. He is pursuing his PhD as part of the Competence Centre in Additive Manufacturing for the Life Sciences, in collaboration with the biopharmaceutical company Cytiva and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden. His research is focused on implementing AM technologies of polymeric materials, as a standard tool for producing bioprocessing equipment and potentially replacing conventional manufacturing techniques.
