Amit Halkhoree

Amit is a Bioinformatician and Computational Biologist exploring the gut liver axis at The University of Oxford. His research focuses on understanding how the microbiome and ageing impacts gut and liver communication, which could then lead to novel treatment strategies in IBD and other inflammatory conditions. He also consults for startups within the TechBio space, as well as coordinates national communications for Nucleate UK. Outside of the life sciences, Amit is a keen advocate for increased student education through his TikTok platform, as well as student mental health from previous roles. Amit is excited by new and innovative biotechnologies which can improve our everyday lives!
