Toomas Erik Anijärv

Toomas is a PhD student at Lund University in Sweden (but originally from Estonia), specialising in neuroimaging to investigate early functional and structural brain changes along the Alzheimer’s disease continuum. With a background in electrical and biomedical engineering, he is passionate about advancing medical technology and exploring innovative approaches in preventative medicine aimed at extending human lifespan. Beyond academia, Toomas brings valuable entrepreneurial experience from previously co-founding a SaaS startup, which he describes as a “successful failure.” Eager to share the lessons learned from his startup journey, he aims to empower new founders with practical knowledge to help them avoid common pitfalls and achieve success.
