ProSpectral

ProSpectral are building miniaturised devices that enable the identification of materials based on their spectrum. The technology consists of a thin layer of optical metamaterial that is layered on top of off-the-shelf camera sensors and combined with integrated software that processes the sensor data to determine the similarity to an existing spectrum. Compared to conventional spectral imaging devices, Prospectral’s devices are smaller, more compact, lighter and cheaper, which could bring sophisticated materials identification performance to industries where low cost and portability are at a premium.
