Emily is a second-year PhD student at University College Dublin, where she investigates cancer-specific metabolic adaptations that can be leveraged for therapeutic development. In addition to her scientific training, she participated in Conception X, a UK-based deep-tech venture program supporting research commercialization. Emily holds an MSc in Host-Pathogen Interactions and a BSc in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology from the University of Calgary, Canada. She is passionate about bridging the gap between laboratory research and real-world impact, empowering scientists to translate discoveries into tangible societal benefits.
