Erkin is an early-stage researcher at the National Institute of Chemical Physics and Biophysics in Estonia and PhD student at Tallinn University of Technology. His research topic is developing novel and sustainably produced electrocatalysts to increase fuel cells' performance and economic viability.
As an interdisciplinary researcher, he has experience in materials science, electrochemistry, analytical chemistry, heterogeneous catalysis, sustainable nanomaterials, green chemistry and electrocatalyst design, synthesis & characterisation. Currently, he is also studying machine learning for application in materials informatics.
