Jamie Macfarlane

Jamie founded Creator Fund in 2019 after working in Silicon Valley and seeing how many of the world’s leading technology businesses were founded at American universities.

He believed that universities in Europe had the same potential to foster the continent’s next generation of unicorns. Whilst doing his MBA at Stanford Business School, he led the Dorm Room Fund team, which was the first fund to pioneer the university-focused venture capital model. He also worked for Raine Ventures in San Francisco.

Prior to working in venture capital, Jamie ran election campaigns for Prime Ministers, Presidents, and opposition leaders in 12+ countries around the world. This included the Cambodian Democracy Movement’s breakthrough 2013 campaign against Asia’s longest lasting dictatorship. He was also Director of Transformation at WPP and opened their first office in Myanmar.

Jamie has a Double First degree in History from Oxford University. He speaks Spanish.
