Louis is a PhD student at the University of Edinburgh interfacing synthetic biology with green chemistry to transform pollutants into compounds of value. Previous to his doctorate he worked as a molecular biologist at Ingenza, an Edinburgh based biotechnology spinout. Louis is currently the president of the European Synthetic Biology Society (EUSynBioS) and has worked at Edinburgh University’s commercial arm, Edinburgh Innovations. He holds a BSc in Biochemistry and an MSc in Industrial Biotechnology.
