Rob is a medical engineering PhD student researcher at the University of Leeds developing soft interfaces for a new generation of cartilage preserving knee replacements.

Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering his core research interests span materials science, additive manufacturing, surface engineering and medical devices. He also has extensive lab experience developing innovative enabling technologies including magnetized lubricants, high-pressure liquid crystal imaging techniques, along with an internship developing space-vehicle engine tribology at Mitsubishi in Japan. Outside of this Rob is a freelance web designer and digital strategist currently working with two large medical device university training networks.
