Iain Mackie

Iain is the CEO and Co-Founder of Malt AI. Malt AI’s platform enables enterprises to build custom AI solutions utilising distilled Large Language Models (LLMs), trained on their proprietary data in a secure environment. Iain was a Student Investment Partner for 3 years alongside his PhD in Information Retrieval at Glasgow, after previously working as a quantitative trader at BNY Mellon. Alongside his Malt AI co-founders, Iain won the 2022 Alexa Prize, a global competition run by Amazon for the best university AI teams.
